What to do in Cairns?
Tough question. Cairns is the
premier holiday spot in North Queensland for visitors from international
destinations, other parts of Australia and a preferred stopover port for
luxury cruise ships. On a holiday in Cairns it's not easy to decide
what to do in Cairns as there are so
may options.
It is a
Mecca for
We at visitcairns.com.au are her to help
you decide what to do in Cairns. We are a husband and wife team who
have lived in the area for over ten years, all of which has been spent
working in and around all the best Cairns has to offer.
A holiday
in Cairns is sometimes a once in a
lifetime opportunity and the tours you choose to do and the sights you
choose to see should be a decision that isn't taken lightly. We certainly
know and appreciate that holidays are special times and can cost a lot of
hard earned money. The last thing one needs whilst travelling are
difficulties, especially when they can be avoided. Holidays are for sheer
enjoyment, pleasure and do have long-lasting memories. So let us help you
decide what to do in Cairns.

On this website you will find just about
everything you can do in Cairns and the surrounding areas of Far North
Queensland such as Cape York, The Tablelands, Cooktown, Port Douglas,
Innisfail to Cardwell and beyond. There are visits to
the
Great
Barrier Reef, the
World Heritage Listed Rainforests
or the Australian Outback or the adrenalin pumping action of

The cairnsqueenslandaustralia.com.au website
is part of the
www.visitcairns.com.au group of websites which has been
operating successfully for over 10 years and is
owned/operated by local people with local knowledge; the husband & wife
team Heidi & Marty who have lived in the Cairns area for many years. We
believe that this part of the world is truly a tropical paradise
but then we are a little bias in that regards.
We have travelled extensively throughout
Queensland especially from Cairns to the tip of Cape York and the Torres
Strait. We know the area extremely well. No matter where you travel there
is no substitute for specialised, proven local knowledge. One of the
challenges we find talking to visitors arranged their travel plans, booked
by non-locals is that often they unfortunately do not understand the
geography of the region, it is bigger than you think! e.g. Port Douglas is
not a suburb of Cairns. As a consequence they frequently have their
clients doing more travelling than is necessary. Let’s face it, you can
spend a long time travelling just to get here - a better co-ordinated
programme enabling you to do everything you want to do makes for a more
successful and enjoyable tropical holiday - this can only be achieved by
utilising sound local knowledge and experiences.
We both are
certified scuba divers, both having done over 100 dives, mostly on the
Great Barrier Reef around Cairns. We both have worked in the dive
industry, both on the boats and behind the scenes in admin roles.
We also acknowledge and respect that
everybody is an individual and not every listing we have on our site will
suit every individual's needs. We will endeavour to tailor any
tour/accommodation, where practical and possible, to suit those individual
needs to the best of our knowledge. We know what to do in Cairns.
We hope that you enjoy your virtual visit to
Cairns and our website and do look forward to hearing from you in due
course.
Cheers From the Tropics!
